On the other hand...
The only argument I have with this video is the large number of government projects. Still, they are human acheivments.

The video closes with Neil Armstrong's words of 40 YEARS AGO, implying that our highest achievements are behind us.
If governments continue the path they have blazed since 1914, and starting from such a high plateau as they have now achieved, maybe our highest achievements are behind us.
PS: While the video ended with Neil Armstrong, it included shots of personal computers, a guy running on artificial legs, and the space station.
The Space Shuttle is in there too, but the various images are more or less in chronological sequence, implying an overall historical progress. They closed with the moon landing, presumably the most dramatic event and highest achievement.
We went to the moon a few times a generation ago, and never went back. Since then, we built five Shuttles and had two of them blow up. Government projects or not, we seem to be running out of the right stuff.
