Georgia O'Keeffe at the Whitney Museum

Holland Cotter has a positive review in the New York Times of a Whitney exhibit of Georgia O'Keeffe's early abstract paintings and drawings. I've long thought they were the most beautiful things she did; Cotter apparently agrees.

The paintings, mostly from the time of the First World War, remained in O'Keeffe's storerooms until after her death. I've seen several as the Milwaukee Art Museum was able to buy some of the finest.

The article is accompanied by a dozen photos, including one of a Milwaukee Art Museum painting.
