Good News On The Blue Whale Front

According to an article in NATURE Magazine
a team at the University of Washington in Seattle suggests that the current eastern North Pacific population of around 2,200 blue whales is probably at 97% of the size the ecosystem can actually support...

They found that the population in the eastern North Pacific has basically recovered to its pre-whaling levels.
Pretty hard to complain about that.

But: Does this mean that whale watching tickets can now include a harpoon?
