"Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman."

"Her", of course, refers to Sarah Palin aka Satan in a Frock. Wendy Doniger, Professor of the History of Religions, University of Chicago’s Divinity School has some more thoughts about the UnWoman:

...the hypocrisy of her outing her pregnant daughter in front of millions of people, hard on the heels of her concealing her own pregnancy (her faith in abstinence applying, apparently, only to non-Palins), is nicely balanced by her hypocrisy in gushing with loving support of her teenage daughter
And here I thought the lefty bloggers and newsies had outed her daughter, and that Palin had merely made it official in a "butt out now" attempt which won her a lot of support from the Republican base. But what do I know?

And concealed her own pregnancy? For nine months? Here I thought what she concealed until after the birth was the fact he had Down's Syndrome.
The Republican party's cynical calculation that because she has a womb and makes lots and lots of babies...
I guess if you are a theologian, you never learned that human entities with wombs which make lots and lots of babies are called "women". Except apparently when Wombed Persons (Persons of Wombhood?) don't espouse the correct political lines. Then they are unpersons. Or at least unwomen. Fascinating: I never realized that political beliefs affected one's sex. I guess it's a theological thing: I wouldn't unnerstan'.
...she has no sympathy for the problems of other women, particularly working class women.
Lemme see, five kids- one of them pregnant, a husband who travels a lot on business- dangerous business at that- who works part time on a commercial fishing boat...nope, she sure couldn't have any sympathy for working class women. What could she possibly know about their lives?
An even wider and more sinister will to impose her religious views on other people surfaced in her determination to legislate against abortion even in cases of rape...
Just which bill did she introduce? Which one did she lobby for? Oh...she didn't? Two years and no bill? That's determination even an abortionist can tolerate.

I'd love to know precisely how the Good Lord conveyed to her so clearly his intention to destroy...all the people who will be shot with the guns that she thinks other people ought to have.
You mean all those poor rapists women with guns might shoot before they impregnate their victims? I guess it will be a sad day for American Theology when women are allowed to respect their own lives and well-being more than they do those of their rapists, hmmm?

And couldn't killing a rapist just be considered performing a retroactive abortion? Or would it be Contraception with Extreme Prejudice? Either would make it OK with you, wouldn't, it, Doc?

This is oddly reminiscent of the "Obama isn't black enough" argument.
