Thank you, Howard Dicus

Thanks to Howard Dicus of Pacific Business News/'PBN Friday' fame, I have gotten the carport cleaned up.

A couple weeks ago Howard did a 'PBN Friday' section on the current airfare wars here in Hawaii (see the immediate result, a couple posts below). While we were on the Big Island we stopped at an art gallery which a fellow seemed to be running from his house. In the garden were several cement Buddhas.

Valerie commented that she wanted a Buddha for our garden.

Upon returning to Oahu she mentioned that the Home and Garden Show was at Blaisdell Center last weekend, but she couldn't go with me. Hence I was allowed to attend unsupervised. With a gleam in my eye and a debit card in my wallet, I departed with visions of cement garden Buddhas dancing in my head. While there was a shortage of cement Buddhas, dancing or otherwise, I did espy an imported Chinese curio cabinet- exactly what I had been looking for for over a year. It was half the normal price I have seen in shops, so I grabbed it.

Installing the curio cabinet in the den meant moving two shelf units into the bedroom, which meant moving two existing white bookcases out of the bedroom and into the carport, which allowed me to clean and organize same.

So thanks, Howard, for getting the carport cleaned out.
