What the Republican Leaders Really Think of the Tea Party

I missed the NYT article about Republican "leaders" speaking about the Tea Party, but the American Spectator article is an excellent intro to it.

The condescension is important: They utterly reject the idea of actually reducing the Fed government, and make it clear that they have no respect for those who do.

Don't miss it. The Republican leaders are every bit as bad as the Democrats, and worse: They lie about what they stand for.

American Spectator column: Here.

Original NYT article: Here.

Having seen last night's Nevada debate between the Republicans running for the party's Presidential nomination, I have to say that only Ron Paul even makes a pretense of wanting a smaller federal government. He proposed eliminating five cabinet departments. No one else even proposed serious cuts in their budgets.
