The Republican War on Women

I've heard a lot of assertions about the Republicans' War on Women, and, while some have at least a kernel to them, most boil down to such abominations as refusing to force taxpayers and employers to pay for women's condoms, birth control pills, and abortions. In sum, vicious assaults on women's right to have their sexual activities subsidized by the taxpayers and by their employers.

My questions:

SINCE the Democratic Party has spent the last half century working to make and keep it a felony for women to own, much less carry handguns with which to shoot rapists, and

SINCE the Republican Party has spent the last half century trying to protect women's right to choose whether to own and carry handguns with which to shoot rapists, and

SINCE the Democratic Party's position for practical purposes puts them squarely on the side of the rapists,

WHICH party has for half a century waged a war on women?

FURTHER, since the Democratic Party wants to keep it possible to abort babies, even female babies just because they are female, on demand, and

SINCE the Democratic Party wants to make it a felony to even possess the means to shoot the rapists who impregnate rape victims,

WHICH party is making a war on women?

Color me confused.
