Biden & Pelosi on Gun Control: "This Is Just The Beginning"

Our national gun banners are explicit once again:: Current proposals to ban guns and standard capacity magazines, along with making law abiding private citizens (as opposed to criminals) submit to background checks for gun transfers, are just the beginning:
Vice President Joseph R. Biden rallied gun control advocates Wednesday ahead of a “day of action” organized by a prominent advocacy group, telling supporters that bans on so-called assault weapons and high-capacity magazines would be followed by further gun controls.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke similarly, predicting that whatever bills pass Congress this term will not end the issue from her perspective.

On a conference call organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the group co-chaired by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Mr. Biden was emphatic, saying, “Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning.”
There can be no such thing as universal background checks because the only people who will submit to them are the law-abiding. Criminals won't submit to them. And as been pointed out elsewhere, universal background checks would criminalize loaning a gun to a spouse for target shooting, criminalize lending a gun to a friend or family member for use in a gun safety or markmanship class, criminalize lending a gun to an out of state friend who is a houseguest. It would criminalize an instructor allowing shooting class students to use her guns.

Frankly, I don't believe the proponents of such laws are either ignorant or stupid. I think they are aware of what they are doing, and such problems are features, not bugs, for those who desperately want Americans to be disarmed. I think they are knowingly, deliberately, and successfully working to subvert the Constitution.

Since Americans have added roughly 64,000,000 guns to the nation's privately owned gun inventory since Barack Obama has been president, I suspect that I am not along in my belief.

Stompng 'Jesus' for College Credit

As others have commented: Why didn't the lesson say 'Mohammed' instead of 'Jesus'?

Hmmmmmm.....

Here.

If this is what passes for intellectual discourse in colleges today, why do we allow kids to attend?

Effects of Schumer's Gun Bill

I think he considers these to be features, not bugs.

I think that because I do not give him credit for being either stupid or ignorant: He knows what he is doing.
