Janet Napolitano on Cyber Attacks

I missed it at the time (August) but in her farewell speech as head of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano had this to say about cyber attacks on the US:
Our country will, for example, at some point, face a major cyber event that will have a serious effect on our lives, our economy, and the everyday functioning of our society.
For some reason, rational people think that those who take the experts' words to heart and actually prepare for problems are the nut cases.

You can read the text of Secretary Napolitano's remarks here.

In His Own Hand-writing, Obama Refers to Tea Partiers as "Tea Baggers"

He didn't write that letter, someone else wrote that letter.

And no one is more angry about it than he is.

As the Emperor Stompy Foot the First has said many times: "If you like your tea bag, you can keep your tea bag. Period."

We Aren't On the Way To Having A Police State: We Already Have One

We are just building it bigger with things like Customs check points 100 miles from the borders, and Customs agents intimidating US citizens who stand up to them. We are also building the police state ever bigger when the Customs employees' union tries to get citizens fired by their employers for standing up to them.

Does anybody wonder if Terry Bressi has an extensive file at Immigration and Customs?

A "Racial Discrimination Note" shall be attached to their permanent file

Yes, to a child's permanent school career file.

Sometimes a "Racial Discrimination Note" becomes a badge of honor.

Head Teacher Mrs. Small strikes me as a bit of a thug. Just the sort I'd not like teaching my child about respect for other people's beliefs.

It seems to me time for parents to organize a school boycott on November 27th, and instead have a very serious discussion with their elected representatives about the nature of respect vs thuggery.
