Pierre Omidyar Believes in Private Property?

eBay founder Pierre Omidyar pushes private property rights in 3rd world countries.

Who knew?

And when did they know it?

He still seems like a good guy, even if he does believe in private property rights. The author pretty clearly disagrees, though.

Elizabeth Scalia Fisks Jamie Stiehm of US News and World Report

Ms Stiehm lays quite a load on Justice Sotomayor (and five other Justices) for the crime of being Catholic, although it looks more like they are simply being relatively true to that disgusting document, the US Constitution.

In my book, Ms Stiehm here demonstrates why lefties in general are utterly despicable excuses for human beings. Stiehm gives a fine example of why people who would disarm the American people are either utterly naive, or genocidal. The idea of such people running a government which ruled a disarmed people is more chilling than more politically astute people would allow themselves to publicly divulge.

What Are the Quote Marks For?

Alfred Hitchcock apparently worked on a documentary about the Nazi death camps, never released until now.
Both the original film about the camps and the new documentary will be shown on British TV in early 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the "liberation" of Europe.
Does Political Correctness require us to accord legitimacy to the Nazi point of view?

Or is someone involved in publishing this article a Nazi sympathizer --- at least so far as the death camps go?

Federal Judge Strikes Down Chicago Gun Law Again

This law made it illegal to acquire a gun within the city of Chicago except by inheritance.

Best comments I saw:
Do you suppose it's time for a 2nd amendment analog to the voting rights act, placing jurisdictions like Chicago and DC in a preclearance regime?

Can you imagine a similar ordinance “No Bible May Be Sold, Acquired or Otherwise Transferred Within [Salt Lake City], Except Through Inheritance”?
Given the machinations of the traitors running the Chicago and DC governments, I would indeed say it is past time for 'preclearance regimes' to be imposed on the cities.

I also would have no problem with subjecting the people in question to fair trials for treason, followed by swift and public hangings upon the steps of their respective City Halls.

Racism, 'Racism", and "Microaggressions"

I think that the proper response to being denounced as racist today is to laugh heartily in the accuser's face. Then thank him/her for publicly admitting they have nothing with which to refute anything one has said, and must instead resort to shutting down the conversation with made up accusations.

The alternative is that the accuser is mentally ill, and should be treated with all the care any potentially dangerous person deserves.

Kevin Williamson discusses lefty racism in National Review.
Martin Bashir on the IRS scandal: “Republicans are using [it] as their latest weapon in the war against the black man. ‘IRS’ is the new ‘nigger.’” Touré on Mitt Romney’s vocabulary: “[He] said ‘anger’ twice. . . . I don’t say it lightly, but this is niggerization.” Jonathan Capehart: Mentioning that Obama went to Harvard is racist “because it insinuates that he took the place of someone else through affirmative action, that someone else being someone white.” Lawrence O’Donnell: “The Republican party is saying that the president of the United States has bosses, that the unions boss him around. Does that sound to you like they are trying to consciously or subconsciously deliver the racist message that, of course, of course a black man can’t be the real boss?” Janeane Garofalo: “Do you remember teabaggers? It was just so much easier when we could just call them racists. I just don’t know why we can’t call them racists, or functionally retarded adults.
The above speakers, of course, being Of The Left, are incapable of racism.

Or at least incapable of seeing their own vicious racism.

So Much For Good, Clean, Fun

Australian cops used olive oil to help get a naked guy out of a washing machine. Apparently he had been playing hide and seek with his partner (identified elsewhere as his girlfriend) and got stuck.

But...but...if it was Australia, couldn't they just open the door and he would fall out?
