"Bomb, bomb Denmark. Take their wives as war booty."

Are we clear on the concept yet? The Islamists seem to be, even if the Archbishop of Canterbury isn't.

Since the Queeen of England is head of the Church of England, why would it even occur to her not to fire him for calling for the recognition of sharia in England? Does either have the faintest clue to how this will be received by Islamists around the world? (Hint: think "Submission in OUR time!"

Human Rights in Saudi Arabia

At least this wasn't so stunning an outrage as in 2002.
RIYADH, 5 February 2008 — A Saudi mother of three, who works as a business partner and financial consultant for a reputable company in Jeddah, didn’t expect that a trip to the capital to open the company’s new branch office would have her thrown behind bars by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice....

Yara, who has been married for 27 years, said she spent several hours in the women’s section of Riyadh’s Malaz Prison, was strip-searched, ordered to sign a confession that she was in a state of “khulwa” (a state of seclusion with an unrelated man) and for hours prevented from contacting her husband in Jeddah.

Her crime? Having a cup of coffee with a colleague in a Starbucks.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue is the same group of thugs who in 2002 forced girls back into a burning school because the dared flee the fire without putting on their headscarfs and abayas.Fifteen girls died. The BBC has that story.

Politicians on Gun Control

This is an interesting site with direct quotes from various politicians on a variety of issues, including guns. The link takes you to Rudy Giuliani, but Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama and several others are available if you scroll all the way down. It covers taxes, free trade, and quite a few other issues.

It's interesting that several pols claim to support the 2nd Amemndment, then go on to attack the right to own or bear arms in ways they would never attack the 1st. Or would they?

Bill Clinton. Unethical? Who would have guessed?

Investor's Business Daily must be part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, for they concluded:
It all shows that if there is a loophole, Clinton will take it. Appearances of impropriety mean nothing to him. But with a new Clinton in the White House, the stakes rise. As money rolls in and the Clintons take power, this specter of an ex-president sitting on a cash-hungry foundation and his wife in a position to dole out favors bears potential for Marcos-like corruption and a sellout of American interests on a scale unknown in the U.S.
Well, whatever was good for the Clintons in Arkansas must be good for the country.
