He was a good kitty, and now very missed.

Satanic Fiend of the Ko'olaus

AKA Zack. Well, his eye. OK, part of his eye. His proper right eye. So relax already. It's dinky, but blow it up to screen size. I, being a primitive provincial, set it as desktop and get a nice screenful.

Zack is back...

...from the kitty hospital after two days in intensive care. He got re-hydrated (hence his red bandage), x-rayed, blood tested, and medicated. He seems better, but we aren't sure what the underlying problem was or is. Kaiser's Family Plan doesn't cover kitties. This seems like a major oversight on the part of the teachers' union.

 

The Albert Laing Brant decoy and Zack

 

Zack seems to have found a new friend and power-napping companion in the Albert Laing snuggle head brant decoy which I got last year.

According to decoy collector Ron Swanson, who researched and wrote the major article on Laing for DECOY Magazine (July/August 1995), it was likely made in the 1830s, and may be the earliest Albert D. Laing decoy to survive.

I hope Zack appreciates his pillow.
